📖 What you need to know

Real estate licensing in South Carolina is regulated by the South Carolina Real Estate Commission, which operates under the state's Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR). Pre-license education is delivered in two units: Unit I (about 60 hours) must be completed before sitting for the licensing exam, and Unit II (about 30 hours) follows. Every salesperson works under a licensed broker, and a designated broker-in-charge is responsible for supervising the affiliated licensees and the brokerage's operations.
