Real estate licensing in Wisconsin is administered by the Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS), with oversight from the Real Estate Examining Board. Prospective salespersons must complete 72 hours of approved pre-licensing education and pass the licensing exam before being licensed. A salesperson must work under and be supervised by a licensed broker, who is responsible for the salesperson's real-estate activities and for handling trust funds.
