📖 What you need to know

The North Carolina Real Estate Commission (NCREC) regulates real estate licensing in the state. Everyone is licensed as a broker, but entry-level applicants must first complete 75 hours of prelicensing education and pass the exam to become a provisional broker. A provisional broker must work under the supervision of a Broker-in-Charge (BIC) and complete 90 hours of postlicensing education within their first three years to remove the provisional status.
